Sometimes eczema is dry and scaly, and other times it can blister and ooze clear fluid. Common triggers of eczema include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Soaps<\/li><li>Detergents<\/li><li>Cleaning products<\/li><li>Perfumes<\/li><li>Cosmetics<\/li><li>Animal dander<\/li><li>Wool<\/li><li>Heat<\/li><li>Sweat<\/li><li>Cold<\/li><li>Stress<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a number of treatment options for eczema, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Antibiotics<\/li><li>Antihistamines<\/li><li>Corticosteroids<\/li><li>Moisturizing creams and ointments<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hives (Urticaria)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hives are raised, itchy welts that may be red or the same color as the rest of your skin. They turn white when you press on the center of them. Triggers for hives include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Foods<\/li><li>Medications<\/li><li>Pollen<\/li><li>Latex<\/li><li>Insects<\/li><li>Heat<\/li><li>Cold<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>While in many cases hives go away on their own, sometimes they are caused by an allergy, in which case they are treated with antihistamines. Other treatments include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Oral steroids<\/li><li>Steroid injections<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Folliculitis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Folliculitis looks like small red bumps or pimples on the skin. It is a type of infection that occurs in the hair follicles, especially ones that have been shaved. It\u2019s usually caused by staph bacteria, but can also be caused by inflammation from ingrown hairs, viruses or fungi. It can be caused by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Shaving<\/li><li>Tight clothing<\/li><li>Heat and sweat<\/li><li>Untreated hot tub or pool water<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Folliculitis, like hives, usually clears up on its own. If it doesn\u2019t within 10 days, see a doctor. They may prescribe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Antibiotic pills<\/li><li>Antibiotic creams<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Keratosis Pilaris<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Keratosis pilaris causes small red or white bumps that resemble goosebumps on the fleshy parts of your legs and arms. They usually don\u2019t itch. Keratosis pilaris is caused by your pores being clogged with keratin.
